Is there anything Target can’t do? From trendy clothes to cute dorm decor to groceries and everything in between, Target has it all. I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to set foot in a Target without wandering around like I’ve never been there before. The place I always end up: the beauty aisles.
Target’s beauty section is impressive on its own, let alone the fact that it is only a small fraction of what Target has to offer. The best part? All of their products are at an affordable (ahem, college student) price. Below, I’ve curated a list of all of my favorite beauty finds you can score at Target.
1. Bliss Mint Chip Mania Mask
Bliss Mint Chip Mania Mask, Target, $13, shop now
As a self-proclaimed face mask addict, this one is my 2019 favorite. It’s loaded with aloe vera to soothe and calm irritated skin and shea butter “chocolate chips” to nourish your skin. Plus it smells exactly like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Could you ask for more?
2. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel, Target, $7, shop now
Double cleansing for the win! I start off by using this gel to remove my makeup before going in with my cream cleanser to ensure a clean face before bed.
3. Acure Brightening Facial Scrub
Acure Brightening Facial Scrub, Target, $10, shop now
I could go on about this scrub forever. To keep it simple, this scrub will give you the softest, glowiest skin of your life for less than the cost of lunch.
4. Real Techniques Complexion Blender Brush
Real Techniques Complexion Blender Brush, Target, $9, shop now
Real Techniques makes the best brushes that rival my more expensive brushes. My current obsession is their Complexion Blender Brush. I’ve been using it to apply my BB cream or to blend a drop of illuminating moisturizer into my foundation.
5. Garnier SkinActive Facial Mist
Garnier SkinActive Facial Mist, Target, $6, shop now
It would be an understatement to say I’m obsessed with this facial mist. It’s naturally derived formula makes it ideal for sensitive skin, all while hydrating and leaving behind a light rosy scent. I use mine as an added moisturizer, to wet makeup brushes, and as a primer before makeup.
6. Kiss False Nails
Kiss False Nails Pink Beige, Target, $8, shop now
As someone who hates doing my nails, these are a lifesaver. They look like real nails and the glue lasts for a week or two.
7. Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint
Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint, Target, $12, shop now
I have made it somewhat of a tradition to dye the ends of my hair pink every October for Breast Cancer Awareness. This spray has made it so much easier (and cheaper) to keep up the tradition by adding a subtle pink wash to my strands. (Disclaimer: the color only shows up on very light hair).
8. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, Target, $7, shop now
“Micellar water has little tiny micelles suspended in it. Micelles surround dirt particles and break them down…”, so there’s no need for harsh chemicals that can strip skin. My favorite way to use mine is after washing my face to pick up any leftover eye makeup or to touch up smudged mascara. It takes it all off instantly without any rubbing or tugging at skin (which means less wrinkles in the future).
9. Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara
Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara, Target, $4, shop now
This is my favorite mascara for soft, natural looking lashes. I opt for the shade “Blackest Black” to really make my lashes stand out. I always get compliments when I’m wearing this mascara – it makes me feel like Bambi IRL.
10. Tree Hut Body Scrub
Tree Hut Belize Breeze Body Scrub, Target, $9, shop now
Tree Hut makes the best body scrubs that come in so many yummy scents. I’ve been using them for years and they leave my skin so silky and smooth. Pro tip: use it on your legs and under your arms before shaving for the softest skin.
If you’re a beauty obsessed college student, do yourself (and your wallet) a favor by trying out some of my favorite Target beauty finds. TBH, I’d still choose these over some of their more expensive counterparts, they’re that good. Try some for yourself, I’m sure you’ll find a few new favorites.
