There is no shame in having pictures of brownies, burgers and ice cream take over our Instagram feeds. Let’s be honest and admit that no matter how much we try to fight it, we are all foodies at heart. From yogurt parfaits and raspberry macaroons to Chipotle burritos and bowls of penne alla vodka, we cannot help but to screenshot and save these scrumptious dishes to our phones. The reason is simple; food Instagram accounts are the best Instagram accounts. Here are only five of the many reasons we love drooling over images of food:

1.The Opportunity To Try New Restaurants

Sometimes it’s hard to find those hidden gems with the best menus and incredible food. These food accounts not only show you delicious food, but they also sometimes reveal where you can try it!

2. It Promotes A Healthy Lifestyle

Healthy food accounts exist all over the Internet and can show you new and exciting ways to eat your daily dose of vegetables and fruit. Say goodbye to the boring and breakout the quinoa!

3.Ideas For Late Night Indulgences

As collegiettes, often we will find ourselves stuffing our faces with junk food and binge watching Netflix at odd hours of the night. Food Instagrams give us different ideas for our not so healthy choices that are quick and easy to make. No need to call Domino’s this weekend.

4.New Recipes To Try

You may not be a chef or a baker but these Instagrams will make you want to become one – or at least improve your cooking skills. Time to take over the kitchen with recipes you never would have found otherwise.

5.EATING. Just eating. Everything. All of the time.

Yes, we are hungry all over again. Even if we just ate a meal that could have been for two, it’s time for seconds. Maybe even thirds. Fourths? Hey food gives you brain power am I right?

Food is life and life is definitely too short to not eat that brownie. It’s time to start following those food accounts now. Go see what you can whip up!
