When someone asks me what my favorite store is, my answer comes easily and quickly: Target. I can say this without a doubt in my mind. Sure, Barneys is a close second. But, if we are being realistic here, the amount of time I spend at Target and the amount of clothing I have from there far surpasses that of anywhere else.

When I walk into Target, I am consistently overwhelmed by the pure awesomeness of the store. I know the layout like it’s my own living room, which makes sense considering I’m there at least twice a week. I know that I am going to leave with much more than I intended, and these unintended purchases usually end up being clothing. I have learned how to expertly navigate the women’s section for the best knockoffs, basics, and hidden gems. As a self-proclaimed Target expert, I am here to share my tips on the best clothing pieces Target has to offer:

1) Bathing Suits

Bathing suits are generally one of the first racks you see when walking into the women’s section. Target should be everyone’s go-to place for bathing suits. Their options are endless and affordable. They are on point with all the trends and whatever the next big thing is for that summer. I’m hoping for some trendy one pieces this year, and I know Target (bae) won’t disappoint.

2) Basics

You have to get your basic V-neck tees and plain tanks somewhere, and Target truly had the best selection. They have cotton tanks and tees in every color that are perfect for layering or lounging around. It’s also a great place to go if you’re ever in need of themed party/Mardi Gras outfits.

3) Graphic Tees

Everyone needs a good graphic tee every once in a while. Luckily Target has an entire wall of options for us. Whether you’re wearing yours with jeans or to workout, Targets has something for everyone. They are giving Wildfox a run for their money, if you ask me.

4) Collabs

Target has done collaborations with some amazing brands. In the past these included Phillip Lim, Missoni, and Alexander McQueen. You don’t need a department store to get the designers you want. You just need Target. Currently, they have a collaboration out with Who What Wear that is worth an immediate visit to Target (not that I wouldn’t be going anyway, #duh).

5) Knockoffs

Besides actually collaborations with designers, Target does an amazing job at knocking off every designer. My personal favorites include their Firkenstocks (fake birkenstocks), knockoff Triangl bathing suits, and fake Ray Bans. Who needs the real thing when you’re getting a good deal, am I right?

Happy Target shopping!
