This past week of rain/mist/zero sun inspired me to check out some new rain gear. Multiple days of rain in a row was not super fun, but if I had more rain appropriate footwear and outwear, I know I would have been a little less disappointed about the lack of sunshine. Check out these key pieces to help you through all the future rainy weather!

Boots

(1) J.CREW Chelsea Leopard Rain Boots ($68): Weather appropriate footwear i.e. rain boots don’t have to be boring! These leopard rain boots add a fun flair to any outfit and give you that extra little hop in your step even if you’re walking through puddle after puddle.

(2) Kate Spade Sedgewick Rain Booties ($175): These booties are an updated version of the classic black rain boot, complete with glitter. As booties, they are guaranteed to be easier to walk in than tall rain boots, and they have a small heel so you can dress them up as well.

Raincoats

(1) Asos Rain Trench in Polka Dot ($69): I love a printed raincoat! The polka dots add a little bit of whimsy to this heavyweight showerproof trench. The long length and dipped hem are sure to keep your whole outfit dry.

(2) Asos Brave Soul Floral Hooded Rain Trench ($32): This jacket stays dainty and ladylike, even though it’s a hooded trench, with the cute pink flower print. The lightweight fabric makes it perfect for warmer temperatures, and the two front pockets make it super easy to grab your phone/keys while walking through the rain without having to endlessly search through your bag.

Umbrellas

(1) Marc by Marc Jacobs Graffiti Leopard Umbrella ($58): This bold Ruby Red Multi Print umbrella is the perfect companion for those long rainy walks to class. It also has a wrist strap and a push button to open, making it easier to use.

(2) ONE by DE NOVO, Black Moon Compact Umbrella ($100): This classic black umbrella is a unique piece with four bold rings at its handle. The rings also have bead accents that come in gold and silver. The edgy update on this umbrella makes it a rainy weather must have – it’s an umbrella complete with jewelry!
