A Timeline of Finding a Date to your Date Party

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Finding a date for your sorority date party is always such a struggle.  Here is a timeline of the emotions we all go through up until the end of the night.

Your date party is in a week and you’re thinking…

This weekend will be different, and you will meet a guy who makes you want to say,

But the weekend ends up going more like this.

And suddenly it’s Sunday and you’re like…

“Will I ever find someone?”

You start to freak out and ask everyone you know to set you up.

Half of them are in the same situation.

The other half say the name of someone and you just can’t help but do this:

Suddenly the date party is all you can think about, and it’s like wow…

Then one of your friends manages to find a date, and you can’t help but think…

So basically you have visions of your night going like this:

And you start to think, “Hey, I should ask that guy who possibly looked at me that one time.”

Just when you are about to completely give up, somehow, someway you get set up with someone.

The night arrives and all you can think is…

Your date arrives at the pregame and everyone is all…

Then you get on the bus and realize you have nothing to talk about.

Once you arrive you decide to try dancing, which is even more uncomfortable.

And to pass the time you inevitably start to do this.

Next thing you know you are back on campus and you think–

But somehow you made it through, and looking back it was actually kind of fun!
