Even the least sartorially inclined chicks and dudes have heard about clothing retailer H&M, best known for reasonably priced, trendy separates. Mad style maven and designer of the hour, Isabel Marant, is known around town for her cool-French-girl pieces: utterly chic but still comfortable, and obviously very ridiculously good looking.
Marant is credited with the birth and maturation of the sneaker-wedge, a trendy favorite among lazy girls and Song sisters alike. H&M’s fall/winter collaboration with the French designer merely adds to the already impressive history of partnerships they’ve hosted in the last few years.
Previous designers have included Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Versace, Marni, and last year’s collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela.
This year’s collection is thick with sweaters, printed blouses, leather, quilted jackets, and a smorgasbord of prints that will make your heart sing. While this collection runs at a higher level than what you’re used to paying at H&M, relatively, it’s a small price to pay for a slice of designer brilliance. Stop by the nearest H&M on November 14th to take a gander at what the collabo has to offer your wardrobe!
