This past summer I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Paris. I was extremely excited to learn about the Parisian way of life, especially Parisian fashion. As an avid fashionista, I am always changing up my look and searching for new trends to try. Paris provided me with ample inspiration to re-work a lot of the basic pieces that were already in my closet and that most girls have in theirs!
Don’t be afraid to mix patterns! The Parisian women are fearless with their style and pair together surprising patterns that look stunning. Mixing a horizontal thinly striped or polka dot shirt with a floral or tribal printed skirt looks refined yet casual.
I cannot tell you how many women (of all ages!) I saw wearing dresses while going about their daily routines. The Parisian summer can get unbearably hot, so dresses are always a great option for staying comfortable and cool. Some of these dresses were flowing maxis, while others were asymmetrical silhouettes that were sleek and edgy. Throw on a leather or denim vest to add something extra to a dress in a neutral hue.
Do as the Parisians do and easily attain an effortlessly chic style!
