The Best Restaurants for Big Birthday Dinners

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Eclipse de Luna

  • Location: Buckhead
  • Type of Food: Tapas
  • Must Orders: I recommend the potatoes, ceviche, mac and cheese, and the calamari—they’re all delish.
  • Tips: Seriously, just order multiples of everything on their menu because it’s all so yummy and great for sharing. They’re great for big dinners because they have pitchers of Margaritas and always give special shots to whoever’s birthday it is. This place is a classic for a fun birthday dinner. Plan on making a later reservation so that you can go straight out to Maggie’s after dinner!

Osteria 832

  • Location: Virginia Highlands
  • Type of Food: Italian
  • Must Orders: Margherita Pizza, any pasta, and the Pan-Seared Trout if you’re trying to be healthy and carb-free.
  • Tips: This place is amazing for casual group dinners on a school night. It’s all reasonably priced and is super close to campus. The menu is really simple and actually everything is so good. You can’t go wrong with Italian!

Barcelona Wine Bar

  • Location: Inman Park or Westside Ironworks
  • Type of Food: Mediterranean and Spanish Tapas
  • Must Orders: Calamari, Potatoes, and the Empanadas.
  • Tips: They have pitchers of Sangria which are amazing! I recommend the red over the white. It’s a great place for a birthday dinner, especially a fancier one. Get a bunch of the tapas and share them with every one. Like Eclipse de Luna, for sure make a later reservation and go straight out after! A great place to go if you want something like Eclipse de Luna, but a bit fancier.

Bar Taco

  • Location: Inman Park or Buckhead
  • Type of Food: Tacos
  • Must Orders: Corn and Churros
  • Tips: Great casual place to go for a big dinner. It’s really easy to order a lot of food because you order single tacos and small appetizers. The margaritas are also a must!!

Nakato

  • Location: Buckhead
  • Type of food: Hibachi or Sushi
  • Tips: One of the best places for reasonably priced sushi! You really can’t go wrong with Nakato because they have both Hibachi and Sushi. Hibachi is always so entertaining and great for big groups. It’s great because you can sake-bomb and eat bomb food too!
