12 Times We Were All Olivia from ‘The Bachelor’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

As this half-incredible, half-lackluster season of ‘The Bachelor’ comes to a close, it is undeniable that the most interesting character has been the stunning yet manipulative Olivia Caridi. I know I’m not the only one who stalked this chick like crazy after the first episode (when she won the first impression rose), while pondering how someone could appear so naturally sparkly. Looks aside, our girl Olivia has quite a unique personality. From her self-deprecating cankle conversations, to her overly excited facial expressions, to her wonderfully worded sentiments about this season’s Bachelor (e.g., “I’m zen with Ben), Ms. Caridi certainly added a dose of entertainment to the show. Although Ben came to his senses and sent her on her way, Olivia will remain in hearts as one of the most memorable contestants. But, as crazy as she was, aren’t we all Olivia sometimes?

When someone asks if you really want to eat that third chocolate chip cookie.

When you realize you can squeeze one more shower out of your near-empty shampoo bottle.

When your friend from home surprises you at school.

When you’re so unprepared for an exam it’s funny.

When you’re Snapchatting your BFF.

When you’re getting a strep test and your doctor tells you to open wide.

When your favorite TV series has been discontinued on Netflix.

When your friends are gossiping about their awkward boy encounters.

When you see your grade on Blackboard and realize you’re about to fail out of college.

When you don’t have a boyfriend so you buy yourself roses. #treatyoself

When it’s 2 AM and you’re having an intense convo about life.

When it’s that time of the month and you’re feeling self-conscious about everything.

It’s clear we’ve all got a little bit of Olivia in us, whether or not we’d like to admit it. Although we’ll miss her beautiful face and amusing backstabbing, the show will go on, and hopefully our sweetheart Ben will find true love.
