Spotlight on the Arts: November Edition

It’s time for our second installment of our “Spotlight on the Arts” series! There are a lot of fun arts event happening in Boston this month, including some exciting holiday themed performances. Here’s this month’s line up…

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

Where: Boston Opera House 

When: November 4th- 15th

Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of music artist Carole King’s rise to stardom. The Boston Opera House offers student rush tickets for $25 an hour before the show starts. The performance time is different each night, so make sure you check the BOH website in order to arrive at the right time. To get a student rush ticket, you must have a student I.D. with you, and only one ticket is permitted per I.D. The Opera House gives the best ticket available at the time of purchase.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses

Where: Emmanuel College Auditorium

When: November 13th- 15th & 20th- 22nd at 8:00 p.m.

All Emmanuel College production are free for Emmanuel students with an I.D. However, this production is $10 for the general public. This show is a fascinating tale of manipulation and deceit that you won’t want to miss!

Elf the Musical 

Where: The Citi Wang Theater 

When: November 17th- December 6th

This is a fun musical adaptation of the holiday movie Elf! Tickets can be purchased online or bought at the box office two hours prior to the show. The box office is located at 270, Tremont Street. 

Boston Ballet Presents: The Nutcracker

Where: Boston Opera House

When: November 27th- December 31st

Student rush tickets are available for The Nutcracker for $25 with a student I.D. Student rush tickets can be purchased one hour before the show starts. Only one ticket is permitted per student I.D. and the best available ticket is given at the time of purchase. Don’t miss out on this holiday classic!

Sammy is a senior at Emmanuel College, majoring in English: Communications & Media Studies with a minor in Music-Theater.
