Another EC Cutie competing in Big Man on Campus is Dan Chadwick, notorious for both his love of Starbucks and his quick wit. If you’ve been lucky enough to see Dan around campus in between his involvement in S.A.G.E., Leadership Academy, Habitat for Humanity, RHA, and labs, then you know just how deserving he is to be competing for the title on November 12. HCE: How does it feel to be nominated for Big Man on Campus?
DC: When I was asked if I wanted to do it, I was kind of surprised, but I was happy about it, too, since S.A.G.E. nominated me and it’s a pretty big program at school.
HCE: Now that everything is official, how do you feel as the day of the event gets closer and closer?
DC: A little nervous, but mostly excited. I’m kind of in it more for the fun of it than anything and it’s for a good cause, with some of the proceeds going toward Breast Cancer Research.
HCE: Yeah, I bet that makes it worth the nerves. So, what do you do in your free time?
DC: Well, I’m a frequent Starbucks visitor. Most of my free time is probably spent doing homework, to be honest.
HCE: [laughs] I think we all can relate. What about the weekends? What do you do on or off campus then?
DC: On campus, my favorite thing is sleeping. When I’m not, I’m usually busy doing something, so my bed is where I go to relax. My favorite thing to do off campus is probably going to Newbury Street or the Commons and walking around during nice weather!
HCE: Enjoy it while you can! What is your favorite memory at EC so far?
DC: Probably when I went on the Spring Break Trip to Taos with Habitat for Humanity last year.
HCE: That’s amazing! How was it?
DC: It was one of the best experiences. Ten out of ten would recommend. I think they’re going to Colorado this year.
