Last week our team received our much anticipated survival kits. Inside were treats like beauty products, accessories, planners, candy and these amazing travel tools called Steripod.

Everything that was included in our wonderful survival kit!

First up on the list of favorites is the Freeman Beauty face masks. I first tried these to relax from studying during midterms week. They left me feeling refreshed and beautiful.

The Feeling Beautiful Detoxifying Charcoal + Black Sugar Mud Mask is made to clear toxins, moisturize skin and all without drying out your skin too much. My skin is really sensitive so I always have the issue with charcoal masks drying out my skin too much. However, this one did not, which I was super excited about.  The Feeling Beautiful Rejuvenating Cucumber + Pink Salt Clay Mask is also amazing (and the cutest shade of pink) because of its soothing, hydrating qualities. Feeling Beautiful Manuka Honey + Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask + Cleanser was another favorite for my skin because of its purifying qualities. I do not really have trouble skin, but when I am stressed out as much as I was this past week with midterms, all three of these helped balance and relax my skin.

Whenever I am on the go, or just don’t feel like waking up early enough to take a shower before class, I turned to these little canisters of magic for assistance. My unruly curly hair is super thick and, with the humidity in Boston, can often get really frizzy. Mixing them together was no problem seen as how the products are uniquely designed to be used with each other, even if they aren’t from the same exact line.

The Rockaholic dry shampoo was amazing on date night. After a long day of classes I felt like straightening my hair before going out, but to keep it from being too greasy, this was the perfect go-to. It also did not leave any annoying white powder in my hair like some other brands I have tried.

Okay, so I was really skeptical when I first was going to try this product. I’m pretty wary of fake tan in general. However, the mist was by far my favorite. It gave me really nice coverage, smells amazing and did not go on too dark. The only thing I did not like was that I had to schedule a time after I showered for when my roommate wasn’t home because the spray has to fully dry before you put on clothes.

So, if you are not down for standing naked in your room for ten minutes this might not be the product for you. The wipes also gave me nice color, but it was a little harder to get the product on more even. I missed this whole spot on my arm so I had this huge white streak.

I have a neutral skin tone so the shades of these were not orange on my skin when lightly applied.

I wish I had known about this product years ago. I am obsessed with having fresh breath so I almost always have a toothbrush on me. However, I always feel like it is so hard to keep my toothbrush clean when it honestly somehow just ends up floating around in the bottom of my bag. I do not even wanna think about how many germs ended up on that thing.

Now my toothbrush game has completely changed thanks to this little gadget. All it does is clamp over the head of your toothbrush, keeps germs away, and allows for easy travel for all your overnight (or daytime) adventures.

Unlike other toothbrush covers, this one is formulated to keep your toothbrush dry so that why there is no opportunity to keep germs alive. Also, it uses thymol which is used as an antiseptic in things like mouthwash so does a pretty great job of keeping your toothbrush clean.

The best part? They are only $5.99 for a pack of two.

Speaking of making my life easier, can we talk about how cute and organized I became when I got this planner? It is designed by Erin Corden who aims to satisfy the needs of the everyday girl.

This planner has a super nice satin finish, ample space to include every homework assignment and has a unique design that everyone will notice.

Everyone loves a good accessory so thank goodness Aeropostale has us covered! The back to school Survival Kit includes: adorable and trendy sunglasses, hair accessories, jewelry and of course a soft brown wallet that fits perfectly in my school bag.

Denim is super trendy this fall and the gold, blue, and brown tones of these go perfect with any shade of denim. Tap into your own creativity with denim by rocking jeans and a denim jacket, but feel free to mix it up with a pop of metallic like the gold headband or fun hoop earrings.

If you are just as obsessed with seltzer water as I am then you really need to try Spindrift. It is seltzer water with a twist- it has real fruit. The flavors range from Blackberry to cucumber but they all offer a light, amazing taste of real ingredients.

Be sure to keep up with us on Instagram, @hercampusemerson for your chance to win some Spindrift and more!

We also received so many Hi-Chew samples! I personally went a little crazy because I needed to try all the flavors that I ended up not being hungry for lunch. That being said, each flavor was delicious and I could not stop eating them.

Hi-Chew candy is the #1 candy in Japan and I totally see why. It tastes like real fruit such as grape, green apple, mango, cherry, strawberry, banana and kiwi. Green apple was by far my favorite but you can decide for yourself by attending any upcoming Her Campus event or entering our Survival Kit giveaway on instagram.

We are so thankful to everyone who sent us the amazing products that filled our Back to School Survival Kits. Hitting the reset button midway through the semester was much needed and I am so looking forward to the rest of fall.
