The unexpected happened: Drexel cancelled classes two days in a row! And, the snow you may hate so much turned into your best friend in a matter of hours. Now that you don’t have to worry about trekking to class in this polar vortex weather, you can fill your time with snow related fun, or not!

If you decided to stay inside warm and bundled up, the first step is to get yourself something to nom on! You finally have time to cook, so look up your favorite recipe on Pinterest and get cooking. Or, order out your go-to meal with your roomies.

While you’re staying inside, you can catch up on your work. Unfortunately, at Drexel, there is always work to do. Assignments pop up out of nowhere and some professors and TA’s want to take advantage of the snow day and pile on more work. Like me, you may have a test the following day, so now you have some extra time to get that studying out of the way.

Feel like procrastinating? Have a movie marathon! There are always movies or shows you have on your list to catch up on.  I missed the last season of “Scandal,” and this snow day is my perfect chance to catch up on Olivia Pope’s story. After all, Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video are a goldmine when it comes to looking for a TV show or movie.

Instead of hiding from the snow, go play in it! It’s a snow day! Enjoy it before you get sick of it. Adventure out to the Art Museum and sled down the famous Rocky steps. Don’t forget to have a snowball fight with friends, make some snow angels or build a snowman.

Do whatever makes you happy, but spend the day having fun, even if you’re just catching up on beauty sleep!
