8 Fitness Accounts to Follow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Drexel chapter.

We all need some fitspo in our lives and with all the meals sliding down our timelines (thanks, Tasty!), we have to balance it out with bad*ss workouts. Luckily for us, social media also serves as the avenue for fit life inspiration. Here are some social media stars you need to start following for motivation!

Hannah Bronfman (Instagram: @hannahbronfman Snapchat: @Hannahbgood)

The editor of the lifestyle website HBFit is more than just a pretty face. Her Instagram timeline and Insta stories have us experiencing workouts we have never tried, but hope to accomplish. The Adidas Women ambassador and New York DJ has “badass” written all over her and we are definitely all about it. Keep up with her on Snapchat for behind the scenes of her experiences DJ’ing all over the world.

Kayla Itsines (Instagram: @kayla_itsines Snapchat: @Kayla_itsines)

This Australian fitness guru is best known for creating the Bikini Body Guides (BBG) program. After starting out as a fitness instructor, she found holes in the system she was working in and started the program to help women attain the bikini bodies of their dreams. With her app, e-books and social media sites, she is doing just that and there have been many positive reviews of her system.

Cassey Ho (Instagram: @blogilates Snapchat: @blogilates)

Cassey Ho is a fitness expert who found that the corporate world was not for her and chased her passion instead. This passion project paid off and has become a community of women who participate in POP Pilates, which are workouts you can do from home. Her high energy makes it feel as though she is there with you and not lecturing you from a screen.

Sbahle Mpisane (Instagram: @sbahle_mpisane Snapchat: @sbahle_mpisane)

This South African beauty and self-proclaimed “Fitness Bunnie” keeps you glued to her Instagram page with solo workouts and collaborations with fellow African fitness enthusiasts. She has hosted mass workouts for Essence Fest and gladly posts her own workouts from the gym. Did I mention she sometimes goes more than once a day?

TwoBadBodies (Instagram: @twobadbodies)

You know they are good when fitness lover and First Lady Michelle Obama gives them a shout out on social media. Although the pair no longer posts, their fitness videos from as far back as May 2014 will give you enough workout ideas and inspiration to last a lifetime. Plus, if you still want more of Jennifer Forrester (@jenniferforrester) and Kaisa Keranen (@kaisafit), you can follow them on their individual pages on Instagram.

Two Peas In a Bod (YouTube: Two Peas In A Bod)

Chessie King and Steph Elswood may have just recently created a joint YouTube page, but they have posted enough workouts with each other on their individual Instagram pages to keep you and your BFF moving (Instagram: @healthychefsteph @chessiekingg). These BFFs make you feel like part of the clique watching them laugh and play while they work.

Tone It Up (Instagram: @toneitup Snapchat: @KarenaKatrina)

With more than 700,000 people all over the world following these two lovely ladies, it is obvious they are in the fitness game to stay and slay. Together, Karena and Katrina have built a sisterhood that goes beyond just fitness tips, large group workouts and bestselling cookbooks. Following the daily workout challenges on their site will get you toned up right in time for the summer.

Base Body Babes (Instagram: @basebodybabes)

What do you get when you put together two personal trainer sisters and a love for all things fitness? The Base Body Babes! Like other people on our list, they found out fad diets did not work and wanted a way to inspire and help other women achieve their fitness goals. With an Instagram following of more than 600,000 it is safe to say they have inspired a lot of people.

It is often said that summer bodies are built in the winter. With these ladies flooding your timeline, you’ll be hitting the gym (or the living room floor) to get your bikini bod just in time for the warm weather. Now drop and give us 20!
