5 Runs/Walks Around Philly for a Good Cause

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Drexel chapter.

Though the air is getting colder and people are starting to break out their winter coats, it’s still a great season to run. Thanksgiving and the holidays are fast approaching, and you may be looking to keep those dreaded winter pounds off. There’s no better way to stay in shape than to do some fun runs or walks around Philadelphia, especially if they support great causes. Here are some upcoming events near Drexel’s campus:

1. 2015 Step Out: Philadelphia, PA When: Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.This three-mile walk is held by the American Diabetes Association and it starts at Philadelphia’s famous Museum of Art!

You may be dreading the thought of working out, but these runs and walks help make fitness fun and rewarding! The feeling you’ll get knowing you’ve done something for a good cause is well worth the price of entering the race or buying a T-shirt (it may even help ease the pain of rapid breathing and sore legs)! So, lace up your sneakers and get your strut on!
