Pandemic Mental Health Check

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DESU chapter.

During this time of social distancing, Delaware State University has prohibited face-to-face classes and in-person campus events. Not being around peers can be detrimental to a person’s mental health. Here are some tips for keeping your sanity:

  1. For virtual classes and student organization meetings, dress up as you would if we weren’t social distancing.
  2. Introduce yourself to your classmates through social media or the discussion boards. Get to know them on a personal level.
  3. Get involved in student organizations
  4. Try doing a virtual study hall with classmates

It is going to be some long few months, but if you put your mind to it, then you will be successful. Please, don’t hesitate to reach out to let me know how this advice has helped you.
