Ways to Stay Fit During the Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

Since we are all at home, finding motivation can be hard. Especially now that we don’t have our friends encouraging us or have gym access! Here’s some tips and tricks to stay healthy during this tough time.

Stick to a Schedule

This will help you stay active rather than just hanging out in your room all day. This will help your mental health too. Even just going for walks outside is good, and you can take your dog or a family member. They can keep you accountable.

Find Online Workouts

There are a lot of different online workouts that can help give you different ideas. They have some with weights or without weights if you do not have equipment.

Sign Up For an Online Class

Many different exercise companies are offering online classes that you can sign up for. If you like certain workouts, then do what is best for you! I love the barre code and right now they are offering an online deal where you can sign up to get access to a bunch of workout videos! https://video.thebarrecode.com/

Mental health is very important and getting physical activity can help you get through this stressful time. Just because we are stuck at home doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything!

I am a senior at DePauw, majoring in Computer Science with a Math Minor. I'm interested in STEM and being eco friendly :)
