Why are you a Campus Celebrity?

Well besides being really famous for my quesadillas, those awesome pictures and posts that you see on our Instagram (@hc_dpu), our Facebook (Her Campus DePaul), and our Twitter (@HerCampusDePaul) are done by the wonderful marketing board, which I oversee and also contribute to as the Instagram poster.

In your own words, what is Her Campus?

Her Campus is set up as a national online publication, and colleges and universities across the US can open up a chapter and publish content. Her Campus is an outlet for women to express themselves in a society in which women’s issues are often pushed off the side. For example, important and current topics such as the 2016 presidential race, Planned Parenthood, and relationship violence/abuse are addressed and give comfort to college women who may feel like the issues important to them are not being talked about.

How long have you been a part of Her Campus?

I joined the fall of my freshman year (2014), and have been lovin it ever since.

What is your favorite article you’ve written for Her Campus?

S/O to all my campus cuties I’ve interviewed with Ada – you’re all my favorites ;)

What is your favorite article published so far this year?

My favorite article this year was definitely Kathleen Fatica’s “Bernie Wins out in the Millennial Feminist Conversation”. I think Kathleen had an awesome analysis of Bernie’s inclusivity and advocacy on issues such as racial justice, and feminism ideals.

Where could we find you on campus? (favorite study spot, etc)

Since I live on Belden right next to campus, I’m usually snuggled on my couch and creepily watching people walk by the window with my roommates. When I’m not being that weird, I’ll usually study on the second floor of the library or the brownstones booths.

What’s a normal day in the life of Her Campus’s marketing head?

I wake up around 8:30, go to the gym, and eat a scrumptious and healthy breakfast, and then head out to my classes. Halfway through the day I will post a photo to instagram for Her Campus, and then check through our other social media outlets to make sure content has been promoted on those channels. I will also spend some time preparing scheduled and ready-to-go posts so that I don’t have to worry about it on days when I’m really busy with work or school.

What would you like to see happen with Her Campus this upcoming year?

I would LOVE to see Her Campus have a much more influential and extended reach at DePaul. I recognize the potential of both this organization and the amazing and dedicated women writers and executives.
