5 Homemade Face Masks That Will Change Up Your Self-Care Routine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Delaware chapter.

During these tough times where we are home more often, it’s important to take the time to protect our skin. If you’re looking for a change or an addition to your self-care routine, consider a DIY or homemade face mask. When used regularly, you’ll see improvements in no time. Here are the ingredients to some of my favorites!

1. For brightening skin

  • 1 tablespoon tomato juice
  • 1 tablespoon coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons calcium bentonite clay

2. To control and clear acne

  • 4-6 drops tea tree oil
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera

3. To clear blackheads

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon calcium bentonite clay

4. To control oily skin

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons turmeric

5. To treat inflamed skin

  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera
  • 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder

Whatever type of skin you have, a DIY face mask like the ones listed above will not only brighten up your skin but also your day!
