Classes We’re Looking Forward to This Semester!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

We’ve only had two weeks of classes so far here at Conn, but it has been plenty of time to get a flavor of the courses we chose to take this semester! Here are some classes that we’re most looking forward to in the weeks ahead:

I am greatly looking forward to 493A: Law, Science, and the Environment this semester! This course is a senior seminar taught by environmental lawyer Dr. Davis with the intention of teaching students the legal principles behind major environmental issues such as clean air, water pollution, and hazardous waste. The first class was so engaging, I’m actually excited to start tackling the 25-page research paper due at the end of classes! Since I am considering law school as a potential post-graduation option, I am excited to learn more about the inside workings of this field.

I am really looking forward to both my Intro to Literary Analysis and my Environmental Studies as a Social Science classes! I absolutely love reading and writing and am also very passionate about environmental issues, so both of those areas are so exciting to me, especially since I plan to combine them in the future!

I can’t wait to take Introduction to Painting with Professor Chris Barnard! I have some experience painting as a hobby, but I’ve mostly stuck to acrylics. This course should give me the opportunity to refine my craft and work with oil paint!
