100 Men Rise: Why Are Vaginas Important To You?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

If you need something to restore faith in the men in our campus, here it is. Alia Roth, producer of the Vagina Monologues, created the “VMen Campaign” to involve men in the movement for gender equality. She asked 100 men, “Why are vaginas important to you?” This campaign was featured on the Huffington Post  through an online campaign. Here is the video that will change your perspective: prepare to be moved…

Roth explains, “We need men to stand with us and fight to end gender based violence because this is not just a women’s issue; this is a human rights issue. We need people of all genders and sexual orientations to stand together and fight for gender equity and sexual expression. Talking about vaginas is only the beginning. Together we can fight and end gender based violence and discrimination. Together we can fight for equality.”

A huge thank you to Alia Roth and the VMen.
