Spring Break is FINALLY here for us Columbia College girls. We made it. Now, even though I will personally be spending the break with my mans in the tropical land of..Iowa..I’m still treating myself to a week of relaxation and self-care.

So if you’re unable to travel or are spending the week back at home, here are some ways to make sure you get that well-deserved rest and relaxation that will make you feel rejuvenated.

  1. Get your nails done

There is nothing quite like a mani/pedi. Or, if you’re on a tight budget just choose one over the other. I finally got my acrylics back, and each time I get a new set I feel like like a brand new girl. Who knew cute nails can go such a long way? So whether you decide to choose both or one over the other, it’s the perfect way to treat yourself and feel pretty while doing so.

2. Take a bubble bath

That’s right. A nice, long, relaxing bath is the perfect at-home spa experience. Get the water to your liking, add your favorite bubble bath, light a candle and put on your favorite tunes. I recommend Hozier’s new album Wasteland, Baby!. Tune away the rest of the world and soak up those bubbles. If you have some lavender essential oils, throw a couple drops in for extra relaxation.

3. Do a face mask

There’s no better way to get your life into order than taking good care of your skin. So after washing with your usual cleanser, throw on a mask and close your eyes. My favorite mask is the clay-like Shaklee Infusing Mineral Masque. If you’re more of a sheet-mask girl, St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal Sheet Mask does the trick too. Make sure to apply your moisturizer after to lock in the glow.

4. Wine & a movie

Put on your favorite movie (or favorite tv show) and pour yourself a glass of wine. Clueless and wine sounds like a perfect combo. Then again, any movie pairs well with some wine. Whatever your mood is, sit back, relax and sip away. Nothing’s stopping ya, boo.

No matter what your plans are, I hope relaxation and self-care is at the top of your list. So treat yo self babe, you earned it.
