These Common Flowers Have Some Not-So-Common Effects

If you’ve read my previous articles, you should very well know that I’m a big fan of keeping succulents inside of dorms, offices, and houses. Today, I’m here to tell you about the benefits of tending to another type of plant: flowers. This past winter, I went back to Los Angeles to visit family and friends, and to my surprise, I saw that my mom had made an addition to her little succulent garden. As I helped my mom manager her garden and spent more time with her flowers, I noticed how much they helped uplift my mood and energize my surroundings.  I know that in dorms, it may be difficult to plant flowers and keep them healthy, but even a bouquet of fresh blossoms can do so much for your happiness and wellbeing. Below is a short list of easy-to-find flowers that can add a burst of positivity and energy to wherever you may be.

1. Lavender

The calming purple color of lavenders is known to have tremendous benefits when it comes to easing anxiety and nervousness. The aroma of lavender is also an excellent natural remedy to treat insomnia and to improve the quality of sleep. This flower will definitely add a hint of sophistication and serenity to your room!

2. Boston Fern

3. Roses

As a classic romantic flower, roses are incredible plants that induce feelings of comfort and ease.
