Fitness: 8 Fitness Instagrams You Need to Be Following

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Colby chapter.

1. Diana and Felicia @basebodybabes

These sisters are personal trainers who specialize in training women and own a gym. Their posts generally consist of workout gear, healthy food, and them in the middle of workouts with equipment, such as weights and boxing gloves. They have more than just fit bodies; they show you the work that they have to put in to achieve their strength.

2. Amanda Bisk @amandabisk

She’s an Australian pole vaulter now obsessed with yoga. Most of her photos are of her doing amazing inversions and yoga poses on beaches with the sun shining behind her, creating a silhouette.

3. Misty Copeland @mistyonpointe

She’s probably the most famous ballerina of our time. Currently she’s a soloist for the American Ballet Theatre and an Under Armour ambassador. Her posts are mostly of her during rehearsal, backstage, striking beautiful and strong moves.

4. Bianca Cheah @biancamaycheah

This yogi is the founder of Sporteluxe.com, a certified yoga instructor. She posts high contrast photos of her in different yoga moves, in addition to lots of pictures of healthy food.

5. Jen Selter @jenselter

Instagramers claim that she literally has the best butt on Instagram. Basically, she is the queen of buttspiration. Literally. Just one scroll through her insta will have you motivated to start squatting instantly.

6. Lindsey Vonn @lindseyvonn

One of my idols, Lindsey Vonn is an Olympic gold medalist in downhill ski racing and she has won the World Cup 59 times in addition to five World Championship medals. She’s come back from many injuries, so there are many photos on her on instagram regaining her strength in the gym, in the middle of tons of ski pictures.

7. Mary Helen Bowers @balletbeautiful

She’s a pro ballerina and a fitness trainer. She’s the woman who trained Natalie Portman for Black Swan. She posts bright photos with her mid arabesque, sometimes with inspirational quotes such as “You are beautiful. You are strong.”

8. Karena and Katrin @tonitup

What I love about their instagram is that they have tons of realistic “before and after” photos of normal people, which is great for inspiration. They also post tons of inspirational quotes, pics of healthy food, and even links to workouts.
