Where are you from?

Wilmette, IL

What dorm do you live in?

Taylor

What year are you?

Sophomore

Why did you choose to come to Colby?

I chose Colby because it offered me a well-rounded experience, I was able to play tennis and pursue a liberal arts education. Also, Foss peanut butter is rad.

What are you involved in on campus?

I play tennis and am a mentor for CCAK. I am also an ambassador for the Half the Sky Movement and have recently started a chapter at Colby.

What are your favorite memories from Tennis and CCAK?

My favorite memory from CCAK was when everyone’s kid came to Colby for a BBQ and participated in fun games last spring. The kids were so excited when they saw face paint and went a little crazy on their mentors’ faces. Needless to say, everyone was walking around campus that day with questionable butterflies painted by 7 year olds on their faces.

What is one piece of advice for people who are involved in the same or similar things on campus?

If anything, I would tell Colby students to embrace everything out school has to offer. From sports to extracurricular activities and classes, Colby is a great place to try everything. Whether you are scared to try out for a sports team or get up and sing your heart out at Karaoke Night in Dana, just remember, you’re only in college once!

Natalie Goodman is a sophomore at Colby with a double major in Government and French. Outside of class, she is a member of the French club, the theater club, and the Hillel on campus. She is in love with makeup, chocolate, and salt and vinegar Cape Cod potato chips.
