Created and produced by Mindy Kaling, The Sex Lives of College Girls follows the everyday ups and downs of college friends Bela, Leighton, Whitney, and Kimberly as they navigate the University of Essex and exploring their individual sexualities.
The first season explores: Bela trying to make a name for herself to impress the comedy club on campus. Whitney gets involved in an illicit affair. Leighton is trying to keep up appearances for popularity while keeping a secret, and sweet Kimberly is just attempting to adjust to the changes around her.
It’s a great show that really dives into some realistic aspects of college in a genuinely hilarious manner. Now don’t get me wrong, some of the experiences the girls encounter are extremely fictionalized, but even those moments are just as funny. So far, the show has two really good seasons with a third on the way. It’s a show I recommend you watch for yourself if you have HBOMax; or at least ask your friend to borrow theirs to binge watch for a weekend!
