Being stuck at home is not the worst thing to ever happen to us. Because of this quarantine, we’re really able to focus on ourselves. The first thing that I think of when working on myself is self-care/pampering. Here is a pamper routine that anyone can follow!

  • First, brush your teeth or put some whitening strips/gel on.
    • Usually, whitening your teeth takes a good amount of time. That’s why you want to do this step first so that you can get more done while leaving the whitening strips or gel on. You can take them out at any point during this routine.
  • Hop in the shower.

    • I don’t know about you, but showering has to be one of my favorite parts of the day. Just the thought of being clean and refreshed makes me so happy. This part of the routine is meant to be very relaxing, and you may want to take a bath instead.

  • While in the shower there are a few things to get done:

    • Wash your body.

    • Wash your face.

    • Wash your hair and massage your scalp.

    • Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!

    • Shave (if you want to)

    • Use an in-shower body moisturizer (these are life-changing).

  • Bodily care:

    • If you like body oils or aloe, apply it immediately after the shower

    • After that sets in, moisturize!

  • Facial skin-care:

    • If you have a steamer, use it!

    • Put on a pore strip if blackheads are a skin concern.

    • Pluck those brows and get rid of that ‘stache!

    • Put on your favorite face mask. Make sure you pick one that’ll address the needs of your skin such as a clay mask for deep cleansing, a gel mask for moisturizing, etc.

    • Lip scrubba dub dub.

    • Lastly, Moisturize your WHOLE face lips — cheeks, under eyes, EVERYTHING!

  • Extra pampering:

    • Trim your nails.

    • Paint your nails.

    • Put leave-in conditioner or oils in your hair to make it silky soft.

    • Clean your ears.

    • Clean your piercings.

    • Use an eyelash serum or apply Vaseline to them (same goes for eyebrows).

That is it! Trust me, you do not have to do everything on this list. It’s all optional. Personally, these are all things that make me feel better about myself, but I never do them all at once! Maybe now, since we have all this time, I can knock it all out in one day (that’d be a relaxing day). I hope that, during this quarantine, you really find it easier to become more confident in yourself and put time into yourself overall. Keep washing your hands, drinking water and taking those vitamins!
