The Victoria’s Secret’s Fashion Show is one of the most anticipated fashion shows of the year. It occurred this past week in Shanghai, China, but don’t worry, you haven’t missed it yet! It’s scheduled to premiere at 10/9C on CBS Tuesday, November 28th, so make sure to tune in. As promised, here are some facts and some exclusive pictures from the show you can’t miss!
Many old and new faces strutted their stuff on the runway
There were the faces of Victoria’s Secret that many have come to know that walked in the show. The VS regulars such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Taylor Hill, Candice Swanepoel, Jasmine Tookes, Josephine Skriver and so many more were present.
The fabulous Karlie Kloss has returned to the show this year after a two-year absence.
Bella Hadid returned after her debut last year. However, her sister Gigi Hadid didn’t return due to unknown reasons. Some speculate it was due to her Chinese visa getting denied due to a video where fans perceived her actions as racist against Asian features.
However, there were 17 new faces to slay the stage such as Estelle Chen, Amilna Estevao, Gizele Oliveira and many more. All in all there were 55 women who graced the runway this year.
Harry Styles amongst others performed!
The musical guests for this year’s show includes, of course, Harry Styles, Miguel, Jane Zhang, Leslie Odom Jr. and Yundi Li. Harry was a substitution after Katy Perry wasn’t allowed to perform. But, honestly, who cares because this lineup was awesome anyway and no one expected Harry to take the stage for the event this year.
This Year’s Fantasy Bra
As it’s known each year for the show, one of the Victoria’s Secret models is chosen to wear the multi-million bra, except for in 2014 when two supermodels, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, both got to wear the fantasy bra. Iconic!
This year, the 27-year old Brazilian model, Lais Ribeiro, wore the dazzling Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra. We’ll luckily all be graced with her extravagance on display soon, but for now here’s a teaser until you see the real thing.
Someone fell…
It immediately went viral that a model, Ming Xi, fell to her knees during the show. However, she maintained a graceful demeanor and composure and continued to strut the rest of the runway.
