Celebrating HerCampus Seniors!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

As another academic year draws to a close, it’s time to honor our incredible seniors who have made HerCampus Clemson a part of their collegiate experience and made the organization better and stronger through their participation. These graduating seniors are incredible, talented women, and we’re incredibly proud of them and can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.

Caitlin, Mansi, and Justine, thank you for being a part of HerCampus Clemson. As you go forth and say goodbye to Clemson, know that HerCampus Clemson is always in your corner, and you’ll always be part of the HerCampus family.

Caitlin Barkley

When did you join HerCampus?

I joined Her Campus as a freshman in the fall of 2015.

What’s your favorite article you’ve written?

It’s a tossup between “A Little Sister’s Thank You to Her Brothers” and “12 Days of Love Letter Writing.” Both were personal articles that I hoped to write for awhile before finally getting them published.

What’s your favorite memory of HerCampus?

I loved the year and a half that I served as Editor-in-Chief and Campus Correspondent for this organization. I learned so much about the HerCampus brand and myself in that year, and it helped to fine-tune my leadership skills. My favorite memory was recruiting new writers at Tiger Prowl in my sophomore year! It gave me a chance to share my excitement and passion for the organization while meeting so many new Clemson tigers.

What are your future plans?

After graduation, I will be pursuing my doctorate in physical therapy at MUSC in Charleston!

When did you join HerCampus?

Spring 2016.

What’s your favorite article you’ve written?

I honestly don’t know! I love writing, and each piece has a different value to me. They’re all my favorites.

What’s your favorite memory of HerCampus?

It’s probably me deciding to join and writing my first article. I’d been looking for a way to express myself and spend more time writing, no matter what it was. I learned about HerCampus at just the right time!

What are your future plans?

Right now, I’m taking a year to better explore my options: volunteering, research, etc. I’m possibly looking at Masters programs, but I ultimately hope to get into medical school and become a physician.

When did you join HerCampus?

Spring 2018.

What’s your favorite article you’ve written?

“Why Are We Still Doing This: A Groundhog Day Exposé” because I basically transcribed a lunch conversation I had with friends about the actual insanity that is this holiday!

What’s your favorite memory of HerCampus?

I loved being able to get together at meetings and share writing experiences with a group of talented, passionate women!

What are your future plans?

I will be moving to Hartford, CT in June to start the rotational program with Aetna.

Mayme Medlock is a junior at Clemson University, studying political science with an emphasis in international relations. In her free time, you'll find her chasing cute dogs, talking about studying abroad in the Balkans, watching copious amounts of Netflix, and putting people at ease when they question her name's pronunciation (May-m, not May-me).
