1. Haunted House/Hayride
There’s nothing better than giggling/shrieking your way through this creepy attraction and it’s great way to bond with your roommate (if living together isn’t enough). Clemson students, be sure to check out the Madworld Haunted Attractions if you’re looking for a real scare.
2. Pumpkin Carving
The classic Halloween pumpkin carving, is it really Fall without it? This may sound difficult for those of you (like me) living in dorms, but baby pumpkins are always an option if you’re short on space.
3. Apple Picking
Take a break from studying and spend an afternoon enjoying the cooler weather! You’ll get some much-needed exercise and, if you’re lucky, they’ll have some hot cider and donuts for a snack afterwards.
4. Navigate a Corn Maze
At first glance, this may seem an easy task. However, venture out to the Denver Downs corn maze at night and you’ll see it poses a bit more of a challenge.
5. A Netflix Scary Movie Night
This one is for anyone that’s in a bunch and wants a night in. Netflix has tons of choices and horror movies are always more fun with a friend.
6. Football Game
For Clemson students this may sound obvious, but if you’re like my roommate and had to work during all of the past games, then it’s something you’ve still yet to experience. If this is you, make sure to mark it down in your calendar so you can see a college football culture like no other!
7. Hiking
Want a breath of fresh air but tired of walking around campus? Check out a local park for a change of scenery. One nearby spot for Clemson students is Table Rock State Park that has many trails to choose from.
8. Decorating Your Dorm Room
If you’re like me, and love everything Fall, then decorating your room is a no brainer. When looking for cheap decorations, be sure to check out the dollar section of Target for cute signs and garlands.
9. Get Coffee/Apple Cider
This one’s pretty simple. If you need something quick to get you in the spirit, drop by Starbucks or pick up some fresh apple cider from a local farm.
10. Go for a Drive
This is a favorite of mine. Many times my roommate and I have done this to relax after a long week. If you want to make it more interesting, bring a coin and use it to decide which direction to turn. Ex: heads for right and tails for left.
