What to Expect from this Year’s GALA

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

Every year, the International Student Association puts together a huge event called GALA and it never disappoints. With such a beautifully diverse array of cultures on campus, it can be pretty incredible seeing them all come together under one roof in the same night. This year, ISA will be presenting GALA 2018: Generation GALA and we could not be more excited! Here are some things to expect from the performance:

  • 31 different countries will be represented
  • This year’s theme consists of empowerment, collaboration and vision
  • Expect an appearance from Dance Society who will be representing France
  • The show will end with a Flag Ceremony during which during which over a hundred students will be waving their flags across the stage
  • GALA is partnering with Upward Bound, a program that strives to give students in Central Massachusetts the opportunity to access college education

The 4 hour show starts at 7pm this Friday, March 23rd, and will take place in the Kneller Athletic Center. If you can’t make it to the show, they will also be live-streaming it!
