How to Stay Sane During Finals Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clarion chapter.

Finals are always stressful for college students, but there are ways to reduce your stress and relax.

1. Take some time for yourself

It’s not always about studying every day all day long, you need to take time for yourself. Take a break from studying, look on social media, watch tv, something so that you don’t over extend yourself.

2. Use a salt lamp

Salt lamps have been the new “it” thing but they actually work. They relax you and help you focus. You can get them pretty cheap on amazon or in certain stores.

3. Sleep, sleep and sleep!!

Getting enough rest is the most important thing. Not only will you be able to focus more but you will feel better and fight off the finals bug that always goes around.

4. Take a walk

Sometimes fresh air is an amazing stress reliever. Try and get outside and catch some rays. If you can’t go out open up your window and pull up your blinds.

5. Hang out with friends

Hanging out with friends can get your mind off of all the craziness of finals week. Get some froyo or go to Starbucks, laughing and having fun with friends is the best medicine.

6. Focus on one thing at a time.

Everything is overwhelming, but if you just focus on one thing at a time it’ll make things easier for you and you won’t feel so crazy.
