On a warm sunny day, there was a young, innocent couple that traveled like the whispering wind of bliss through the Queen City.

That young couple happens to be my boyfriend and I. We traveled through the Queen City for a daytime date this past weekend. One of the best parts? The whole day only cost us around $30, including parking, and lunch.

We took a stroll alongside the river and then headed toward downtown looking for something to eat. As we were walking past yet another restaurant trying to decide where to go, we looked through the windows from the sidewalk and saw this amazing deep-dish pizza being served. We immediately knew this was the place! This amazing pizza joint is known as the Pi Pizzeria. They had so many options to chose from—from vegetarian to meat lovers, gluten free crust to corn meal crust, and deep dish to thin and crispy. Our lunch total ended up around $22—a little pricey for us being college students and all, but it was totally worth it. After we finished our lunch, we continued to walk around downtown for a while until we ran into a sign that said “Free Admission to Contemporary Art Museum.” With both of us sharing a love for art museums, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity! We headed inside and spent the next two hours looking at each and every piece, having silly conversations about what we thought about each of them.

Here are a few photos I snapped during our date:
