California, here we come! The OC was one of the most popular shows of the 2000 television season. The drama series tells the story of Ryan Atwood, portrayed by Ben McKenzie. He is a troubled and gifted teenager with a complicated and psychologically abusive family.

The protagonist steals a car influenced by his older brother Trey (Bradley Stryker/Logan Marshall-Green) and receives help from a public lawyer, Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher), who sees himself in Ryan and tries to rescue him in every way.

Ryan is given a second chance when he is adopted by the rich and philanthropic Cohen family. The plot centers on your new life with your new brother Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) in Newport Beach.

Now, recall 10 of the show’s best moments:

Ryan Meets Marissa

In the first episode, Ryan meets Marissa (Mischa Barton), who seems like the perfect girl and becomes his main love interest for much of the series. The young man catches Marissa’s attention, who asks “Who are you?” Ryan responds with, “Whoever you want me to be”. This scene remains close to the hearts of The OC fans.

Marissa says “I love you” to Ryan and he says “Thank you”

Marissa and Ryan start dating, with Marissa being the first to express her love, saying “love you” to Ryan and getting the best response possible “Thank you”! Ryan really wasn’t accustomed to this level of affection.

Seth and Summer’s Spider-Man Kiss

Summer (Rachel Bilson) even tried to resist Seth’s charm, but these two were born to be together. The best couple in the series began their story when Seth stood on the table in front of the entire school and declared himself to Summer, who responded with a kiss right there.

Graduation

I can confidently say that graduation is one of the most highly anticipated moments in high school, and in The OC, it was no different. Ryan, Seth, Summer, and Marissa truly cherished this special moment in the series.

Seth and Summer’s First Kiss

Summer even tried to resist Seth’s charm but these two were born to be together. The best couple in the series began their story when Seth stood on the table in front of the entire school and declared himself to Summer, who responded with a kiss right there.

First “Chrismukkah” with Ryan

The Cohen family is divided between Jews and Christians, which is why Seth had the brilliant idea of creating “Chrismukkah”, a combination of Christmas and Hanukkah, a typical Jewish festival. In the first season, Seth introduces this event to Ryan, who finally feels welcomed at the end of the year.

Kirsten’s tears when Ryan returns to Chino

Kirsten (Kelly Rowan), the mother in the Cohen family, was initially resistant to accepting Ryan into her home, but over time, she grew to love him like a son. It was impossible not to shed tears alongside her when Ryan made the difficult decision to return to Chino.

Ryan meets a boy at the end of the series

In the final episode of The OC, Ryan encounters a boy who seems lost and hopeless, just as he once was. This emotional moment takes us back to the pilot episode when Sandy met Ryan. At this moment, Ryan reflects on his entire life and the help he received, which gave him the chance to be happy. The least he could do was give back.

Ryan and Marissa in the New Year

The first New Year in The OC is marked by the midnight kiss between Ryan and Marissa, a moment filled with great adrenaline as Ryan almost didn’t make it in time.

“I Wish I Was a Mermaid ”

Cute moment alert! At the beginning of the series, Seth recites the poem “I wish I was a mermaid” that Summer wrote in sixth grade. This moment is undoubtedly one of the best in the series.
