After a great month of relaxing, chilling and not having to check your scheduler and see how many pages you still need to finish for that hard class, school is about to start again. In Brazil’s case, it doesn’t mean there is a new college year is approaching, it only means that there is still half a year to finish. And the Olympics. And two more bimesters that couldn’t go by slower.

It’s Sunday and your classes will be back tomorrow, but you can’t even

You need to pack your bag and think about how to re-adapt to your 17 hours non-stop routine of classes/internship/research/sleeping/eating. But netflix sounds like such a better idea

When you finally arrive at college and the professors start talking about the semester project, without even given a week for people to settle down

Remembering how to use a pen and write notes down

Socializing with people you haven’t seem for an entire month. Some you actually miss and other you wish you didn’t have to see – ever.

People ask what you did all July and you have no clue

Re-checking the news on Fridays to see if there will be a protest on Paulista Avenue and classes will be cancelled or not (usually not).

Setting your alarm back to 6 am every day for another semester

Resign that you have until first week of December to deal with Paulista 900 until another holiday
