Winter is finally here! The coldest season of the year requires special care with our health and beauty. Check out 5 essential tips for the season:

1. Water, water, water! It is common for us not feel as thirsty in winter as in summer, but the theory of drinking two liters of water a day is valid for all seasons. Water helps us to stay hydrated and prevent problems caused by low temperature.

2. Careful with the temperature of the shower! Do not take very hot and long baths – they will make your skin look dry and worsen the cold action. Besides that, try to choose soaps with moisturizing smooth formula and neutral pH.

3. Moisturizing creams are your best friend! Always use them after shower – give special attention to elbows, heels and knees. Beyond that, it is important to remember to use face cream.

4. Lip balm always! Due to its sensitive skin, the lips are usually the first victim of low temperatures. That’s a must have: it is cheap and can be easily found at drugstores.

5. Sunscreen? Yes, please! Even when the sun does not appear, it is necessary to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays that can age and cause damage to your skin. Sunscreen that have moisturizing formula are perfect for winter.
