4 Cheap Alternatives For Expensive Beauty Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

Skincare and makeup are getting more space each day in people’s lives, after all, who doesn’t want to have a glowing and desirable skin? The problem is that sometimes we go online, search for these products and the price is completely unaffordable. Thankfully, there are some brands with cheaper beauty products to save us and our money! And yes, they work practically the same way.

1. Primer

Everyone knows that moisturizing is the first step to have a beautiful and hydrated skin, which consequently leads us to a perfect makeup coverage. However, one indispensable step that makes your face skin look gorgeous and the majority of people end up forgetting is putting on primer.

If you’re into makeup, you’ve probably heard of the POREfessional face primer from Benefit, which is a balm that minimizes the appearance of your pores, but the price is a little too much for our pockets. On the other hand, we have Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser from Maybelline, that has an extremely good effect and a reasonable price:

2. Concealer

To have an incredible skin result, the concealer is needed, since it helps you by covering some blemishes you may want to camouflage. However, we know that it’s not all the concealers that give us the same result. Unfortunately, most of the times, the more expensive the better it is. That is what happens to the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer by Urban Decay. Luckily, there’s an alternative version from Ruby Rose that gives you almost the same result:

3. Eyeshadow Palettes

To give an extra touch on your makeup, eyeshadows can be your best friends! It makes all the difference and highlights your look. The most loved palette is Naked by Urban Decay though the price is quite expensive, that is why Koloss released the Luxurious Palette, which costs four times less than the original one. I know, when we’re talking about eyeshadow it is complicated to reach the same color, but the tones are similar and you can save a LOT of money, so I guess it’s worthy!

4. Micellar Water

And after using all this makeup, your skin needs to recover some way, and micellar water can be the one responsible for this job! If you’ve never heard of, it’s a cleansing water that does more than just cleaning, it also removes your makeup and tones your face without irritating your skin. Although it’s amazingly good, you have to search to find the best one with the finest price! Here we can see the differences between how much money you can keep by buying L’Oréal cleansing water instead of Lancôme’s one:
