Hey! I’m Hunza, the co-creator and president of Her Campus at Carleton. Currently I am in my last year of my undergrad, majoring in journalism and human rights and social justice.
Originally, I am from Mississauga, ON, but I’ve been living in Ottawa for the past four years and have fallen in love with the city. Everything from the architecture to the food makes this city so much fun.
Some of my favourite food/coffee spots in Ottawa include Art Is In, Bridgehead Coffee, Shawarma Palace and of course Suzy Q’s donuts.
Last summer, I traveled to the Czech Republic to work and learn about being a foreign correspondent. I met some amazing journalists from Reuters, BBC and Radio Free Europe, and had a really fun time in Prague with my friends.
In the future, I want to combine my journalism skills with my passion for human rights and use my talents to help those who may not have a voice.
