The Ultimate Fall Bucket List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Lutheran chapter.

With all of the craziness going on in the world right now, taking a breather and enjoying the upcoming fall weather is definitely a must. Between back-to-school season, Halloween, and Thanksgiving your fall calendar might already look packed, but I’ve created a short bucket-list of a few fall activities that you just can’t miss! Enjoy!

  1. Back-to-School Shindigs: Back to School brings you back home to your friends! Have a BBQ or host a get-together to catch up and celebrate the year ahead of you. It is guaranteed to be a fantastic time, especially since the workload of college hopefully hasn’t hit quite yet!*photo courtesy of Photopin.com
  2. Football Games: America’s favorite season is about to begin, and everyone’s favorite teams are back on the field! Whether you’re cheering on your favorite college (Cal Lutheran) or a national one, games are a great opportunity to leave your dorm, get dressed up, and shout for your quarterback!

  3. County Fairs: County Fairs are a fairly cheap way to spend the day, and a lot of county fairs and carnivals still run during the early fall days. Go enjoy some caramel apples and popcorn and ride a few roller coasters; it’ll do you some good!

  4. Beach: The beach, while usually associated with summer, is just as gorgeous during the fall too! Dress up in your favorite hoodie, pack up a blanket, and go catch the sunset with your family or your best friend! The mixture of the fall air and the sound of the rolling waves will lead to an exciting adventure and breathtaking scenery.

  5. Pumpkin Patch: What’s fall without pumpkins?! Grab a few friends or a date and head over to a farm and spend an afternoon picking out the perfect pumpkin. It’s a fun bonding experience, and a good way to spend a lazy autumn day out in the sun!*photo courtesy of photopin.com

  6. Hot Coffee: Fall is the perfect time of year to catch up with an old friend over a fresh cup of coffee. With slightly brisker weather, a warm Pumpkin Spice Latte or a Salty Caramel drink will hit the spot while you both converse about each other’s lives. Whether you’re just talking, studying, or people-watching, fall drinks are here so take advantage of them while they last!

Fall is a beautiful time of year, so let’s make the most of it while it’s here!
