My biggest guilty pleasure that I developed last summer has been Tik Tok, the internet’s newest sensation. At first, I found these one-minute videos very useless and maybe even a little stupid, but my mindset completely changed the more I found them entertaining. The app has found a way of developing its own culture in today’s society, so if you don’t have Tik Tok yet, I’m sure you have been feeling a little bit of FOMO. To help with that, I will be sharing five of my favorite trends that have been circulating the app during quarantine!

5. Family Pyramids (Dance Moms Edition)

If you were a fan of Dance Moms, then you remember the ICONIC pyramid meeting after every competition. Abby Lee Miller would always switch up the order of the bottom of the pyramid, but one thing remained: Maddie was ALWAYS at the top. This new Tik Tok trend shows someone rating all of their family members on how they are acting during quarantine. The funny part about these videos is that Maddie from Dance Moms still remains at the top!

4. Tangled Morning Routine

The beginning of Tangled starts off with Rapunzel singing “When Will My Life Begin,” which is composed of her productive morning routine starting at 7am. Many of her productive activities include cleaning, rereading books, paper mache, chess, ballet, etc. Many have taken this song and made it more realistic to all of our “collective” quarantine routines. This includes staying up until 2am, sleeping in, doing (some) homework, eating, and binge-watching our favorite shows!

3. Mini Music Videos With Family

Being stuck with your family during quarantine can be fun, and these music videos many people have been doing have proven it! Part of the trend is using a “vulgar” rap song and having your family members sing the lyrics. It’s so funny watching moms and dads singing lyrics to rappers such as Nicki Minaj!

2. Hannah Montana Transitions

Does anyone else remember the slightly cringey transitions in Hannah Montana? Well, it turns out there’s a transition for EVERY mood you are in during quarantine. I have personally enjoyed describing my feelings by using short and sweet Hannah Montana transitions.

1. Whipped Coffee

It would be foolish to not add this trend! If you haven’t tried making the famous whipped coffee yet, I strongly recommend it! I personally enjoy drinking my whipped coffee with oat milk and ice, which makes the PERFECT iced coffee!
