With the blank white walls, it is very easy for your “new” dorm to feel cold and uncomfortable. However, with these 3 ideas, you can go from a cold dorm to a home-y and cozy dorm!
1. Add pictures from home
Adding photos of the people you love and places you love can give you so much comfort. And the bonus is they add so much style to your blank walls! Simply just print photos out through Target, CVS, or an online photo website, and stick them to your wall. Now there are a few ways you can do this. First, you can just use removable mounting putty, which you can find at the Dollar Store or Target (this stuff is the best because it doesn’t remove the paint and the photos will stick for the whole year!). Or the second way is using washi tape. Washi tape is a patterned tape. And with this, you can create so many cool designs like this:

2. Add some “Christmas” lights
Using the lights that you can usually find around Christmas time work perfectly to give your room that home-y feel! Obviously you can use any form of string light or another lighting option, however I do think that string lights give your new space a cozy feel!
3. Plants
Adding plants can pull a room together and make your dorm feel like home. So next time you’re at Trader Joes or a farmers market, pick up some flowers or succulents!
