Summer fashion can be quick, easy, and simple, but after being used to dressing for the colder months, it can be difficult to switch back into outfits for the warmer weather. Keep reading for some ideas about summer outfits!

Dresses

A simple summer dress whether it be a mini, midi, or maxi dress, is always a go-to summer outfit. One thing I love about dresses is that there is such a wide variety of different types, such as flowy and floral or simple and sophisticated. Pair your summer dresses with either simple and dainty jewelry or plainer dresses with statement pieces. Another thing that I love about dresses is that you can dress them up or down with your shoe choice. White sneakers or sandals are perfect for a summer’s day while pairing your dress with heels is great for an evening look.

Matching skirt and top sets

A staple for summer this year is matching sets. You have probably seen matching skirts and tops or pants and tops sets when you are shopping. If you are stuck on what to wear, then matching sets are a perfect option as they have already done most of the work for you! All you need to do with this outfit is accessorize with jewelry, a bag, and shoes, and then you have an easy summer outfit!

Big pants small shirt

One of my favorite go-to outfits for when I don’t know what to wear is jeans or pants that are baggy in the leg but tight at the waist and a small shirt to go with them. These outfits are great for days when it is not so hot or you know that you are going to be inside with air conditioning. This combination is also a good option because it is so versatile and has so many variations you can go with! I like to match in the colors of either the pants, shirt, shoes, or accessories as I find this makes the outfit look more put together.

A great way to make sure you have a number of outfit options is to keep in mind the color palette of your clothes when you are shopping. Try to buy clothes that will match each other. The way I do this is to try and make outfits in my head with clothes I already have when I am thinking about buying a piece of clothing. This way, you don’t end up with random clothes that are difficult to match and make outfits with!

Buying clothes and building your wardrobe can be a long process. Make sure that you buy the clothes that you like and that make you feel confident!
