College Fashion Week is an annual fashion show that highlights the biggest trends of the year and it shows college students how to realistically wear them. This year CFW is committed to showing us #TheRealRunway where college students wear what makes them feel the most empowered.

This year the catwalk is having two shows. The first show was Saturday, October 13 in Boston while the second show was Saturday, October 20 in New York City! Unfortunately, HC Cal Lutheran was unable to attend because we are based in Southern California, but we watched it live in order to keep with the hottest trends! If you also want to see what you missed check out the Her Campus Instagram and take a look at their stories under “CFW 2018”.

Even though we, HC Cal Lutheran, will not be there, we are still excited to see all the trends and products that will make everyone feel as though they should be walking a catwalk each and every day.

To initially get yourself ready for fashion week you must make sure your lips are moisturized with natural goodness. We recommend using the Eos organic lip balm in Tropical Mango. They are each crafted with hydrating organic oils, shea butter, and rich mango extracts to deeply moisturize dry lips with natural goodness. It has notes of warm coconut and fresh mango to keep your lips looking and smelling the best they ever have! The best part is that it is Dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, paraben and gluten, and it is not tested on animals! What more could you need from a chap stick?

Do you need a product that will give you more shine and iridescent lips? Look no further. The Almay Goddess Gloss is made with pomegranate, grape and raspberry oils. It leaves your lips feeling moisturized and smooth and never sticky. It is also hypoallergenic and fragrance free which is a big plus!

Primark is an excellent resource for college students as they have a wide assortment of fashion choices for prices that a true college student can afford. Put simply, “Amazing fashion, amazing prices”.

When it comes to fashion, makeup and clothing are not the only college trend. When living in dorms or apartments the best way to decorate your living space is with HANGables Wall Fastening Solutions. These strips allow you to enhance any room with ease and, importantly, without the hassle of a hammer and nails! VELCRO® Brand HANGables Wall Fastener hooks come in a variety of options to help you with all of your decorating needs. You have the choice of different removable or permanent solutions, various sizes, and multiple colors and start decorating on multiple surfaces without putting holes in your walls.

You obviously do not need any of the products to be ready for a fashion show, because College Fashion Week is emphasizing that the fashion statements you make are what make you, you. College is hard so taking time to make yourself feel beautiful and empowered is all that matters. Always feel ready to walk the runway, even if that runway is from Starbucks to your 8 am. Stay tuned to see our HCCLU girls try some of these fantastic products!
