Reign of Terror Haunted House at Janss Marketplace
Did you know that there’s an 80-room haunted house right here in Thousand Oaks?! This professional haunted house, voted the “Best Walk Through Haunted House in Southern California”, will be open this weekend (Friday, October 23rd – Sunday, October 25th) and next weekend (Thursday, October 29th-Saturday, October 31st) beginning at 7pm every night! Tickets are only $17 (purchasable online), and you also have the option to purchase VIP tickets and skip the lines (available only at the box office). Visit their website here for more information.
Thrill the World at Cal Lutheran
Want to get made-up like a zombie and dance to Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller? Then come to Kingsmen Park on Saturday, October 23rd at 3pm! You’ll have the chance to participate in a global tradition by learning the Thriller dance (and zombie make-up is provided there too)!
Free Scary Movie Screenings at Newbury Park Library
Get in the Halloween mood by watching some frightening and fun movies at Newbury Park Library! On Tuesday, October 27th, watch the horror classic The Ring at 7pm. Friday, October 30th is a day-long horror movie marathon starting at 11am! The evening movies are Drag Me to Hell (4:30pm) and Sleepy Hollow (6:30pm, and you have to be 18 to see this one).
UFO Halloween Party at Cal Lutheran
How about a Halloween party hosted by our very own Art Department? Stop by F-1 on Friday the 30th any time from 1-5pm. You can even win a prize for the costume contest!
Camarillo Halloween Party at Community Center Park in Camarillo
Fun for the whole family (including us college kids)! Friday, October 30th (5-8pm), there will be pumpkin painting, carnival games, a costume contest, and the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus. More information here.
Ghost Tours in Ventura
Go on the site and listen to an expert’s stories about some ghosts that are said to have been seen in Ventura! Those brave enough will meet at Olivas Adobe Historical Park at either 7pm or 9:30pm for a 2 hour tour. Tickets can be purchased by calling (805) 658-4726 or at Ventura City Hall.
