It’s officially the Fall season, just in time for pumpkin spice everything, sweater weather (unless you live in Southern California) and always wearing leggings as pants, as if we didn’t do that already. But Fall isn’t just about posting all the cute cliches on Instagram at a pumpkin patch, it’s also time for fall makeup. 2017 is bringing us some gorgeous fall trends that are guaranteed to slay this season.

1. Berry Colored Lipstick

These gorgeous berry shades are perfect for fall. They give you that vampy look you have wanted to do all year long while giving you a pop of color. You can always accentuate this lippie by adding a subtle smokey eye. Make sure to reapply in case some comes off after drinking that PSL.

2. Blush

Now that we are headed into less sunny days and more of the blankets and hot coco weather (Californians can only hope), make sure you are applying some blush to keep those cheeks nice and rosy. Sun-kissed summer skin is starting to fade but that doesn’t mean we have to look like vampires. Try a blush kit that comes with lighter and darker shades, if you have a darker skin tone, those slightly darker shades will be perfect. If you’re like me and you really need a spray tan, try using one of those dark shades for contouring to make sure you’re always looking snatched.                                                                                                                 Photo courtesy of Pixabay.com

3. Highlight

One of my personal favorites….the glow. This fall make sure you try this to amp up any look or if you just want that extra little touch of sparkle. It’s always so satisfying to catch your cheekbone in the light and blind of all of your haters. This is also something that you can put on as much or as little as you want. Perfect for someone who wants their highlight to be seen from Mars, or for the person who prefers a more subtle highlight. It never hurts to have a little of that inner beauty shine through.

4. Winged Eyeliner

Winged liner is big this fall, it adds detail that can bring an entire look together. What’s even better…it doesn’t have to be black. It can be a gorgeous plum color or a deep red wine that emphasizes that fall vibe. If you want to take it a step further check out the newest unique trend in winged liner, invisible eyeliner. Yeah you heard that right, invisible eyeliner. Be bold and be beautiful.                                                                                                                         Photo courtesy of Shutterstock.com

5. Metallic Eyeshadow

My personal favorite, metallic eyeshadow is perfect for fall because it can be any color and there are an endless amount of color combinations. You can do a metallic copper eye that is sure to make your eye color pop. You can do burgundy to perfectly capture that beautiful fall look, or you can do a mix like gold and purple (how convenient that those are our shool colors). Whatever your sparkly little heart desires.

As you can see there are so many ways that you can take these trends and make them your own so that they fit your unique style. You can get inspiration all around you, from the changing colors of the leaves, to your annual trip to the pumpkin match. Put away those bright pink lipglosses and bring out your vampy lipstick, make your liner so sharp you can fly away from all of your problems (thanks midterms), fall is here and we’re ready to slay.
