The Best Study Spots for CofC Students

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

Tired of studying in your loud suite? Bored of being confined to the library? Well, you are in luck, because warmer weather is rolling around and Charleston is the host to some of the most beautiful sites in the Lowcountry. Not only can you study up for chemistry, but you can get some much-needed vitamin D. So grab your bookbag and head out to the most gorgeous study spots on the peninsula!

1. The Battery

The park at the battery is filled with green grass, historic oak trees, hanging Spanish moss, and of course, the beautiful waterfront view that the battery provides. This spot is perfect for laying out a towel and studying. While reading your textbooks, you can sunbathe and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze.

2. The Waterfront Park

Who hasn’t visited the beautiful pineapple fountain at the Waterfront Park?! Not only is it a hot attraction in Charleston, but it is a great place to hang out when you are done with your classes for the day. With plenty of benches and open grass, this spot is ideal for studying! Not to mention the beautiful view accompanied by the sound of the water.

3. Rivers Green

This next spot is right in our backyard! For those of you who don’t know, Rivers Green is the gorgeous open area right behind our beloved Addlestone Library. This spot is surrounded by all of the materials you need to study successfully, and not to mention the Starbucks right inside of Addlestone.

No one loves to study, but when you do it in these exciting places, it becomes a fun activity that you can’t get enough of. Grab some friends and lay out in the sun this week with your books, you won’t regret it!
