So, Halloween is over and November has begun, which means we can start counting down the days to the holidays, right? I certainly hope so. There is nothing better than listening to your favorite holiday inspired song, my personal favorite being “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” Despite the comfort of hot coco in hand, there is one stress that comes with the season that beats them all: holiday gift shopping. Thus begins my holiday gift guide, for those of us who like to plan early, and most importantly, get no greater pleasure than finding the perfect present.
Shopping for the ultimate gift can be somewhat difficult in the small town of Lewisburg, PA, but there are some good options if you are willing to be a little crafty.
What says, “I love you” more than a Bucknell sweatshirt or t-shirt, right?
Wrong. Typically the Bucknell attire heads straight towards our Dad’s spot under the tree, but there are ways to have Bucknell pride and be original at the same time.
For the sporty Dad:
Given our Basketball team’s success in the past few years, there are high hopes for another great season this year. This means our Dads are probably going to be excited to show a little ‘Ray Bucknell pride themselves. Buy you and your Dad tickets to see one of the games, they will love the chance to spend some quality time with you while cheering on your team.
Just so you have something to box and wrap on the day of gift giving, craft a homemade picture frame for a photo of the two of you at the game! Buy a standard sized quilted picture frame, wrap the frame itself with blue and orange ribbon, and voila! You have a Bucknell inspired picture frame, perfect for a photo from the game.
Have a Holly-Jolly week present planning!
