Procrastinate with Pinterest

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.
Probably the last thing all of us need right before final exam season is another way to procrastinate. HOWEVER, this site is so great that I can’t not share it. “Pinterest” is the newest online sensation that defines itself as a virtual pinboard. The site “connects people all around the world with shared interests and tastes”. If you’re confused, think of it as taking your corkboard with images that you love and publishing them to a site to share with your friends and the web.  You’ll find things that you thought only existed in your best dreams. From mouth-watering recipes to breathtaking wedding ideas to life inspiring quotes, you will be able to find anything you want. If you’re not looking for anything specific just browse through the pages; you may be amazed at how long you could spend perusing the boards of someone you don’t know. For those of us who aren’t super into the idea of creating and dedicating time to our blogs, this is a cool and easy way to both show and share your personality with others through images.
You’re going to start hearing things like “loved your pin” and “cant wait to repin that paris photo on your travel board” around campus, so hurry and request an invite (www.pinterest.com) , it takes a few days to process but it is definitely worth it to join in on the “pinning” world.

Cameron is a senior at Bucknell University pursuing degrees in English and Theatre. Born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, she is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and recently spent a semester abroad in London (tea and scones galore!). Her favorite things include (but are not limited to) anything with the word "coffee" in it, her two shih tzus, peppermint gum, reality tv, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, dancing, staying active, and singing. Her claim to fame? She was a street shoutout on the show "Cash Cab".
