Valentine’s Day might be dubbed as a couple’s holiday, but it doesn’t just have to be about romance. Her Campus has all you need to throw the perfect Galentine’s Day party and celebrate all the reasons your girlfriends are your true valentines.
Brunch
Valentine’s Day happens to fall on a Sunday this year, and after all, Sunday is Brunch Day. Break out the waffle maker and eggs, have your friends bring their favorite breakfast staples to share, and start Valentine’s Day on the right food. And don’t forget the mimosa bar if you’re over 21!
Chocolate, and lots of it
Whether you have a valentine or not, this Hallmark holiday gives us the perfect excuse to binge eat everyone’s favorite food: chocolate. Stock up on your favorite assorted chocolate boxes, or hit up Pinterest for some tasty Valentine’s Day treats like these easy and delicious Conversation Heart Chocolate Pretzels!
DIY Valentine Exchange
Bring back the kindergarten days and get crafty with your girls. Buy a mason jar for each of your girlfriends, let everyone decorate them as they please, and cut out blank paper hearts with red and pink paper to write notes on. Then, have everyone write notes for each other and drop them in the jars. By the end of the party you’ll have a bunch of adorable valentines from each of your friends!
Rom-Coms
What’s better than cozying up in PJs, blankets, and watching a marathon of your favorite rom coms? Have all of your friends bring their favorite movie, or just pick a few from Netflix! Some of HC’s personal favorites include P.S. I Love You, Crazy Stupid Love, (500) Days of Summer, and of course, The Notebook. Some of these tearjerkers may even remind you why it’s great to be single!
