The Final “Buck”-et List: Senior Year Edition

In light of a series of lasts that have been and are going to be upon us this month – the last House Party Weekend, the last class, the last final, the last Caf dinner – the seniors of Her Campus Bucknell have compiled a list of senior firsts. Rising seniors take note of the 100 things you should do before you graduate Bucknell:

1.      Be open and honest in your relationships. Senior year is about creating lasting friendships that go beyond Bucknell.

2.      Be open-minded to new opportunities on campus – get involved in a new organization.

3.      Pick a week and go out every night. Remember: it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

4.      Meet as many new people as possible! Now that you’re 21, the bar makes it super easy to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

5.      Float down the Susquehanna in an inner tube.

6.      Go on a hike at RB Winter State Park, Shikellamy Overlook Trail, or Penn’s Cave.

7.      Get out of last year’s work groove and find new places to do homework.

8.      Go to the Bloomsburg Fair and eat fried dough, play carnival games, and visit the farm animals. 

9.      Complete the Frat Challenge over Welcome Weekend.

10.  Host an awesome brunch before downtown events over Homecoming Weekend.

11.  Go pumpkin and apple picking.

12.  Spend a day at Knoebels.

13.  Attend Cafsgiving with your freshman year hall.

14.  Do the corn maze and hayride at Ard’s farm.

15.  Hit up every brunch place near campus: Rusty Rail, Street of Shops, Ard’s, GoodWil’s, Perkins, Amami, Cherry Alley, Lisa’s and Knicker’s

16.  Order one of everything at the Flying Bison and have a feeding frenzy with your friends. 

17.  Win a prize from the table at Trivia Night.

18.  Stay at the bar until the bouncer turns on the lights.

19.  Befriend the bouncers at Townie T.

20.  Sing the same song at karaoke every Thursday for the entire year. People will remember and it will be legendary.

21.  Watch the sunset over Freas Hall.

22.  Watch the sunrise from your favorite spot on campus.

23.  Memorize the downtown shuttle schedule.

24.  Eat at every restaurant on Market Street at least once.

25.  DJ Sushihanna at least once.

26.  Eat a Freez for dinner.

27.  Go to Bounce Plex.

28.  Ride the bison outside of the Klarc.

29.  Ride the Bison in KDR.

30.  Do a wine tour at Four Friends, Fero or another winery around the area.

31.  Visit Centralia, Pennsylvania’s ghost town with a mysterious underground fire.

32.  Order every specialty shot at Bull Run.

33.  Shotgun a beer in the library.

34.  Dance at a frat party until you get kicked out.

35.  Participate in wine tasting at the liquor store, GIANT, and through the CAP Center.

36.  Hook up in an academic building.

37.  Ask your crush on a date, date party, or formal.

38.  Remember that semester is your last time to try new things. Take that class you’d never thought you’d take.

39.  Do the Polar Bear Plunge.

40.  Host Friendsgiving and eat yourself into a food coma.

41.  Build an igloo or a snowman on the Quad.

42.  Sled down the Grove hill.

43.  Streak across campus.

44.  Do a Wine Trolley Tour with 20 of your closest friends.

45.  Camp out on the Quad.

46.  Skinny dip in the Susquehanna.

47.  Go out every night and day of House Party Weekend.

48.  Buy an outfit at a thrift store then wear it to a Super Saturday. 

49.  Go to a drive-in movie.

50.  Get dressed up and go to a classy dinner at Elizabeth’s or Reba and Pancho’s.

51.  Spend an entire day at Townie T or Bull Run.

52.  Look at the artwork in Samek Gallery.

53.  Go to the Observatory.

54.  Eat a meal at the Refectory.

55.  Host a potluck dinner party with people on your street/in your apartment building.

56.  Steal a street sign or poster on campus.

57.  Go to Reptiland.

58.  BYOB night at the Campus Theater. 

59.  Santacon Bar Crawl before winter finals. 

60.  Go to Chrysalis.

61.  Leave a present outside the door of your freshman room.

62.  Go to Yuengs and Wings at the Lewisburg Hotel.

63.  Visit the Yuengling factory and do a tour.

64.  Go braless to class.

65.  Form a league and go bowling on Thursdays.

66.  Wear your pajamas and robe to the bar.

67.  Participate in Judgment Day.

68.  Reunite with your freshman roomie/best friends over dinner.

69.  Run a 5k.

70.  Ask your Domino’s deliveryman on a date.

71.  Get a ride home from the Domino’s Delivery Man or Pizza Phi Guy from the bar.

72.  Go to a register in all-out theme.

73.  Participate in Derby Days.

74.  Find the Derby.

75.  Don’t wear makeup to the bar (one night or all nights).

76.  Go Christmas Caroling. 

77.  Host Bachelor night at your house/apartment with all of your friends

78.  Binge watch a Netflix series with friends when the Bachelor is over.

79.  Attend a game of each of Bucknell’s sports teams once.

80.  Attend Bucknell’s Lecture Series.

81.  Go to a CDC event for free lunch and a good conversation.

82.  Host a cocktail party and make a signature drink.

83.  Learn how to cook one signature meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

84.  Throw yourself multiple birthday parties.

85.  Do a keg stand at a frat party.

86.  Have a picnic in your backyard or on the quad when it’s nice out.

87.  Enjoy ½ price apps at Applebee’s.

88.  Take a weekend off. Your body and mind need it.

89.  Skip an entire day of classes.

90.  Start a chant at a sporting event or at the bar.

91.  Sneak out of a hookup’s bed and borrow a piece of their wardrobe. 

92.  Do a stride of pride across the Quad at 10 am.

93.  Find someone who respects you, texts you back, and enjoys spending time with you.

94.  Take a roadtrip with friends.

95.  Rent a house with your friends for Senior Week.

96.  Befriend Bucky the Bison.

97.  Make a playlist of your favorite songs from senior year so you can listen to them later in life.

98.  Tell someone, other than your parents, that you love them. 

99.  Be proud of your accomplishments, don’t regret anything, and live in the moment.

100. GRADUATE!
